Our neighborhood in Wellington is called Island Bay & we really love it here. It is a friendly small-town beach community populated with families, fishermen, surfers, divers and lots of artists. Think bare feet in the supermarket and you get the idea. It's the little things that make-up the charming flavor of this place. On our daily morning drive to drop off Andy at work, we are bid a flirty farewell by the local Island Bay amputee manequin. Her owner/stylist changes her ensemble every day. As you can see, she doesn't let her handicap effect her saucy personality or confident style one bit.
Our neighbor is a sculptor whose work is shown at the local gallery. Ronan loves to say hello to his hawk each and every time we pass by.

Here are some cool old boats that are another permanent fixture in our neighborhood.
